Our History
In 2008, an initiative was launched by consultants with over a decade of specialized experience implementing information systems for Asset Management. The founders' professional career was largely marked by close collaboration with SAP, a global leader in Maintenance Management solutions. This trajectory coincided with the beginning of a digital transformation process within Asset Management, which allowed the founders to anticipate emerging market trends and needs.
The demands of client companies began to evolve significantly: it was no longer just a matter of implementing information systems, but also of deeply understanding the processes involved and monitoring organizational evolution toward more comprehensive and efficient asset management. The accumulated experience allowed the founding team to identify this gap and orient their value proposition toward integrating technical knowledge with process understanding, laying the foundation for a highly specialized consultancy focused on sustainable results.
However, generalist consulting firms, despite recognizing the emerging need for specialization in Asset Management, were unable to fully meet the sector's expectations. Several factors hindered a truly efficient offering: the high turnover of specialized professionals made it difficult to consolidate experienced teams, and at the same time, it became clear that it was difficult to train consultants with in-depth knowledge of both processes and technologies, capable of developing a true vocation for the Asset Management discipline.
For large consulting firms, the limited scope of opportunities associated with this specialty reduced the incentive to establish a sustained and highly specialized approach, resulting in less robust proposals and a reduced ability to respond to the specific challenges organizations faced. This scenario revealed the need to create a dedicated consultancy capable of combining experience, technical knowledge, and a comprehensive understanding of processes, thus responding with excellence to the growing market demands.
In turn, a significant inflection point was identified within the Asset Management field: the growing demand for professionals with comprehensive skills, capable of mastering both technological aspects and operational processes, as well as the adoption of management methodologies in sectors traditionally unrelated to high asset intensity. This market evolution prompted Iquant's founders to develop a differentiated approach, focused on meeting emerging needs through the integration of specialized knowledge and the application of best practices in the Asset Management discipline.
