Discovery

Discovery is a specialized digital diagnostic and planning service for Asset Management, designed by Iquant based on over two decades of experience. Its purpose is to support organizations on the path to Asset Management 5.0, providing clarity on existing pain points, evaluating improvement options, and defining a roadmap of solutions tailored to the business reality.
Why do a Discovery?
Organizations face uncertainty as they advance their digitalization processes. The most common challenges are a lack of clarity regarding the next steps, the inability to define a consistent roadmap, and the existence of multiple technological solutions that don't always integrate. This results in problems using their information systems for maintenance management, such as SAP PM. Among these, we can highlight:
Poor data quality.
Fragmented and poorly standardized processes.
Difficulties in integrating operational and strategic information.
High operating costs and limited asset visibility.
What is the
value proposition?
The Discovery service offers a methodological framework for identifying pain points, analyzing alternatives, and generating a roadmap prioritizing initiatives. It relies on cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, big data, IoT, augmented reality, mobile applications, and collaborative networks. Furthermore, it identifies quick, low-effort improvements that optimize the use of SAP for maintenance and generate immediate benefits.

What is the Work Methodology?
The Discovery methodology takes approximately five weeks, organized into stages:
1
Preparation and Kick-off
Definition of work methodology and process references.
Planning the activity agenda.
Induction to the vision of Intelligent Asset Management in SAP.
2
Preliminary Survey and Analysis
Structured sessions with maintenance and IT experts.
Analysis of available documentation (processes, volumes, configurations).
Possible temporary access to enterprise systems to validate data
Deliverables: meeting minutes and inventory of identified pain points.
3
Diagnosis and Planning
Qualitative assessment of benefits and efforts of proposed solutions.
Formal recommendations without technical validation at this stage.
Mapping of SAP solutions and definition of preliminary roadmap.
Identification of Quick Wins applicable in SAP PM.
Preliminary internal presentation for validation and adjustments.
4
Final Presentation and Follow-up
Final presentation of the roadmap to directors.
Final deliverable with a vision of innovation in the medium and long term.
